Please prepare the following for our Romeo and Juliet lessons for Week 2 of Term 1:
(B) Complete the 'Dear Diary' section of the play on page 221.
Write out ONE diary entry for EITHER Romeo OR Juliet.
Limit your entry to ONE piece of fulscap paper only.
Your journal entry will constitute 5% of your CA1 mark.
Deadline: R&J lesson in Week 2.
In the diary entry, you are to address the three points indicated in the question:
For Romeo
- Mercutio's death and his fight with Tybalt.
- The news of his banishment, his attempted suicide, the Friar's advice and the Nurse's message.
- His first and last night with Juliet
For Juliet
- The Nurse bringing news of Tybalt's death.
- Her first and last night with Romeo
- The conversation she has with her mother about Tybalt and Romeo, the news of her arranged marriage to Paris and her father's outrage at her refusal
(C) Complete your own annotations for Act 4 and 5.

Please also note that there will be a quiz during our Week 2 lesson. Questions will be taken from Act 3 to Act 5.
