Important note:

Students who did not submit the  CA1 Component1, (comparison of 2 extracts) this essay will be your makeup task.

For these students, please submit a hard copy of this essay by 05 March 2012.
I will key in a VR for CA1 Component1 when I receive your essay.

If you did not submit CA1 Component 1 and do not submit the essay as a makeup task, I will key in 'zero' as your grade for CA1 Component1.  

If you are unsure whether you have submitted your CA1 Component1, submit the essay just in case.

For the rest of you, the essay is merely for practice. Please submit the essay before the start of the March holidays so that I can grade them and return them to you in Term 2 :)

ANNOTATION OF PLAYBOOK

Dear S4s

Quite a number of you have received a letter to your parents for some help from home, with regard to your annotation task. This is a follow-up to the collection and review of your playbooks. The letter will request that your parents help to monitor you as you read the play and make your own notes.

Focus group for this round of checking:
Students who submitted the playbook with only ONE Act's worth of annotations.

Please adhere to the timeline provided in the letter.
Next date for collection of playbooks and review of annotations for ALL students: Term2 Week 2

Please keep up the effort and remember that your effort WILL determine your progress.

CONSULTATION SESSIONS BY CCA GROUPS (FEB, MAR & APR)

I have uploaded the scheduled slots for Paper 2 consultations on the School Portal (Repository). Kindly access the Excel file and sign up for ONE session with members of your CCA group, from any of the six Full Lit classes.

Please note the following terms before you sign up:

Please note that each consultation slot wil be for 2hrs ONLY.

Consultation slots are not meant for RE-TEACHING of the play, as such, none will be carried out.

Please come prepared with queries regarding specific portions of the play. Annotations in your playbook will facilitate the session indefinitely.

Please ensure that all the members of your CCA are able to attend the session BEFORE you sign up.

UPDATE: CA1 COMPONENT3

Dear S4s

Several reminders for you to take note of:

1. There will be an Essay Test during our Literature time-slot in Week 7 (either Monday or Tuesday). The test will be completed in class and will require knowledge of character as well as events throughout the play.

2. Play books will be checked for annotations while the essay test in underway. Please annotate your text up to Act Four. There will be repercussions for students who fail to produce their playbook OR have incomplete annotations.

3. Group consultation will start on the last Saturday of the month (25th Feb). We will start with CCA groups first. Kindly look out for the consultation schedule. More updates in Week 7. 

4. CA1 Component 4 will be a (relatively) simple content quiz on ClassMarker. The quiz will test material from Act 1 to 5 of the play and will be made available at the end of Week 7. More updates during the course of the week.
